(24 March 2025, Baler, Aurora) – The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) was recently invited to the 2025 Tax Campaign Kick-Off organized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Office (RDO) 22. Attended by local businesses and key stakeholders, this campaign highlights the importance of timely and accurate tax filings and the role of taxpayers in driving the country’s economic growth.
During the event, Mr. Ransley Noel C. Lota, Administrative and Finance Department Manager, was able to have a brief discussion with Ms. Juvy S. Dela Peña, OIC-RDO Baler. As an investment promotion agency, APECO is authorized to issue Certificate of Entitlement to Tax Incentives (CETI), which are recognized under Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 28-2022 and should be included in the Annual Income Tax Return (AITR) of registered business enterprises (RBEs). These CETIs are one of the many benefits that local and foreign investors enjoy within the economic zone.
The event further emphasized how APECO’s role complements the goals of the 2025 National Tax Campaign by ensuring that locators can easily access tax incentives, promoting smoother tax filings, and reducing bureaucratic delays. The strong relationship between APECO and BIR RDO 22 not only strengthens the region’s business environment but also reassures current and future investors of the economic zone's efficiency and commitment to fostering growth.
As APECO continues to streamline tax processes and to enhance communications with regulatory bodies, it is solidifying its position as a competitive hub for investment, contributing to the region's long-term economic prosperity.
