Casiguran, Aurora – The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) successfully hosted MANA MO 2024, a highly anticipated youth art competition that brought together talented students from local schools to promote creativity and environmental awareness. Held along the pristine shores of Casiguran, Aurora, the event became a vibrant showcase of artistic talent and a platform to highlight the importance of coastal preservation.
Students from Lual National High School, Casiguran National High School, and Mount Carmel College of Casiguran Inc. participated in the competition, which featured frame painting and mural art. Each school’s representatives used the coastal scenery as inspiration for their works, focusing on themes of environmental stewardship and sustainability. Local visitors were treated to a visually stunning display of creativity, which also doubled as a reminder of the region’s fragile ecosystems.
By involving the youth and partnering with local schools, APECO’s MANA MO 2024 initiative further solidified Casiguran’s position as a hub for cultural and eco-tourism. The event left a lasting impression on participants and attendees alike, successfully blending art, community, and environmental advocacy.
